Looking back on my life so far (39 yrs) I have collected many “great” moments in numerous different areas of my life. There is no one moment that can be said to be greater than another. Great achievements as an athlete compared to great achievements as an entrepreneur, versus great achievements as a husband are all vastly different but of equal importance to me. Like the wise sage Forest Gump said, “Life is like a box of chocolates” and my many great moments each are unique and precious to me. My “box” of great moments are footnotes to me having lived a wonderful life so far. Do I filter future success based on my past ones? No. Each great moment in my past was based on who I was at that time and I am not that person anymore. I can never relive that moment no matter how hard I try. I look forward to many more great moments in my life and hope to participate and aid in creating many great moments for those around me. Your life is a series of moments, some good, some bad and a few really great ones. The “greatest” moment for me is the one I am in right now.

But careerwise? Well, I don't think I've had mine yet either… I've had plenty of amazing moments. But I still think that there's much to accomplish!

I think you are definitely right tho. My mother used to say to me that if your 'best days' were in high school, that was tragic – because you peaked too early. Given my high school experience, I readily agreed.

I don't want to go back and “relive glory days” because my life just keeps getting better and more interesting all the time. Yes, it was interesting and fun and exciting at other points in time – but the future is an open book… what is more exciting than that?

With the exception of having the figure I had 15 years ago, I wouldn't even think of going backward… Onward and upward, my friend. Onward and upward!! :)
