		<description>Micha, you can choose your friends and step-children, but not your relatives or step-parents.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Your step-dad made the choice to be a father/dad to you, as difficult and often thankless a task that it is. He demonstrated loyalty to both you and your mom, and as you have said, he &quot;demonstrated&quot; that he is dependable, intelligent, selfless, unassuming, practical and pragmatic. By contrast, Robbie &quot;took a walk&quot; when you were 8 years old, which had to be a psychological weight on you....no doubt. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;When you get confused about people, just remember that what people DO is who they are. What they say are excuses for who they are. Give the guy (Rich) who took on the responsibility of raising you a bit more credit that the guy who walked away. Anyone can make a baby. It takes a man to raise one.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Truth is NEVER in the middle. Truth is incontrovertible. I think you know the truth, but it is difficult accepting it.
