This past week, I have (pretty much) finished moving into my new house in Boulder, which seems to make all the animals happy, and spent some time thinking about the concept of the Second Click. There is something there that really needs to be explored. When I was an SEO, my favorite line always was “I am just a party promoter; its up to the site to sell the beer.”

Now, with Lijit, I am selling the beer.

Also, I was talking with Chris Brogan this past week, and he does something very interesting. He has a page called “Rockstars” where he lists all the folks he follows. He then periodically posts things from those folks.

(I used to work at a non-profit called CASE in Washington, DC. We joked that it stood for Copy And Steal Everything. Just a random thought).

So, with Chris’ permission, I am going to Copy And Steal Everything about his Rockstars concept. I will add a page to this blog that lists all the Friend’s blogs that I follow. Again, these are folks that I have had some personal interaction with (For example, I finally met Ryan McIntyre at the Foundry Group’s Happy Hour over a healthy dose of MacBook Air, so I added him to my list. Check out his review of his favorite vegetable.)

The list is going to be long, so it will probably take awhile to build…and I need to figure out a good name, since Rockstars is taken…

On to my favorite posts of the week:

A CEO Moment – Todd openly discusses a choice he made that in hindsight, he might have done differently. Right on, Todd!

New WordPress.com Feature: Prologue – When I saw this post on Raanan’s blog, I thought to myself, cool a twitter for a closed environment. Do a search on Google for Prologue. Geez, it seemed to push some strange buttons…

2008 New year’s Resolution 2: Get My Life Back Together – Jenn takes a moment to step back and reflect. More people should do that more often.

Are You Good At Using Twitter? Seth Isnt – Turns out the Seth Godin’s twitter account is not run by Seth Godin. Brian talks about how this potential “issue” may actually be a good thing for Seth.
