Cool ideas, hopefully this can help create strong communities. I also recommend an email list / Google group per city. Sounds like a good project to be involved with.

Nice work Micah… I didn't know you guys were working on starting this up. SpringStage sounds interesting, and like it could be a good way to help create communities. Besides the Blog, Lijit, and ID I think setting up a email list / Google group for each city would be a good idea. I don't think I would have time to become hugely involved, but think I might be able to help by becoming a local contributor.

in this case, innovation is happening at the edges of those two coasts (the middle ground of TX, DET, CO, KY, etc. etc.)

Thanks Sean. When we started, it was amazing how many people said that
either that they were thinking of the same concept or that they wished
one existed. I really am hopeful that this becomes a huge resource for
others that want to start a company but think they have to to move to
the coasts.
