Well – I’m not sure I’m prepubescent – but I follow some interesting people and some very tedious people. Mostly, I see people who either appear to me to need a way to express themselves, not converse, and a bunch of new media “pros” who seem very self serving. of course, this may be because I’m never good at joining a conversation in a crowd. I like to check in with twitter and I’ve learned some great stuff. But I don’t feel like I have any kind of commumnity there.

Twitter is a cool idea, but I don’t get all that much value or entertainment from most of the tweets I read. Call me “prepubecent.” I don’t really care if someone just ordered a turkey burger in Chicago or just moved their couch, but I put up with that kind of noise to find out about the occasional local tech party or interesting new site.

My world: Digg, Mixx, Reddit and Stumble for giggles, traffic and links. Tribe.net for interesting / freaky people. Sphinn for marketing. LinkedIn for suit connections. Facebook and MySpace to keep up with non-techy high school friends. Twitter when I’m sitting in the waiting room and I’m not in the mood for the Cosmo or Good Housekeeping.
